From: Deemy | posted: 08.11.2004 14:58 I ordered a top of the range, high spec base unit from Mesh in July 04 for £1800, that's just for the base unit. Well about 3 weeks later, the PC arrived, damaged - First I raise the issue with them using their on-line support and receive an email to call them the following Monday (16th August 04), which I do, I am then told that a replacement PC will delivered and the old one picked up on Thursday. Well that was fairly prompt. Thursday, comes and goes no replacement and no pickup. On Friday I call them and they say that it will follow on Monday . Monday comes and goes, NOTHING ! Wendessday 25th August, I receive a new note from Mesh through the post that the PC is being built and that it will be delivered on the 6th of Sept 04. I send them a deadline of 8th or I want a refund as this is taking the piss. Also they have yet to collect the damaged PC. 6th Sept, goes and I receive an email saying that the PC is no longer available and that I should call them to choose something else. I By the 9th of Sept, I am well pissed off at having 2 months time, So I send them an email telling them that I want a refund by 16th Sept and I am not interested in an alternative. Additioanlly I tell them to collect the PC that's still sat here. On 14th Sept I call them up and request that they collect the PC, THEN wait for it, wait for it ! I get bullshit that no one has called to arrange collection !!! I keep cool, and don't get into an argument and request a NEW collection date. 15th Sept 04 - FINALLY ! Amtrack pick up the dead on delivery PC. 17th Sept 04 - Send them an official letter stating that I want the refund by the 14th of October or I will take them to court. On 20th October, I Call them up and ask wheres the refund, their staff tell me it will be with you on the 26th On the 1st November, I call again and they say someone will call you back On the 4th I get a call to tell me that the refund is being processed today and a cheque will be with you in a couple of days Its now 8th Nov 04 - Nothings been received. Meshcomputers.com - Poor Build, rubbish customer service - Avoid at ALL COSTS Now it looks like I am going to have to waste a load of time taking them to court. But let this be a warning to anyone considering buying from Meshcomputers.com , if things go wrong you can forget about an easy ride with regards getting your money back from this company ! |

From: Madmel | posted: 23.11.2004 19:25 Same here, after ordering an X-treme64 pc at the cost of £2,526, with an estimated despatch date of 15th November (order now cancelled I hope). Contacted by Mesh to say the will be a 24hr delay to the deliver of the pc, which was acceptable at the time. Mesh then contacted on the 18th November to enquire about where the pc was, to then be informed that they were no longer supplying the soundcard that was on the invoice and that I would have to wait a further week for delivery, so order cancelled there and then. Here we are 23rd November with no refund, no confirmation of cancellation, and they are still advertising the said soundcard on there website. |

From: Mike George | posted: 22.02.2005 19:00 About a month ago I placed an order with Mesh Computers, however, after reading all the bad press about them I decided to cancel my order. Mesh Computers proved to me that I had made the right decision as I have found their customer service to being about the worst I've ever come across. Over the passed 10 days I have called pretty much everyday to ask for a written comfirmation (either letter or e-mail) to be sent to me and they have refused in doing so. Also, I have not had a single call-back that they have promised again and again. I have spoken to a number of their employees (Nilesh, Ashad & Billy Fan Kwong Tsang to name a few) but they have done nothing. Further to this they have today sent me another copy of my order with an expected delivery date of 11/2/05 (today is the 23/2/05!) even though they have told me that my order has been cancelled over a week ago! I would strongly advise to stay well clear of this company - I still don't know if I have a laptop/finance agreement that coming in the post... |

From: Yo Mismo | posted: 26.03.2005 02:56 Hi there. Without doubt Mesh is a mess, I got my laptop 1.5 years ago, £1550, first at all they don't deal with laptops support through e-mail, meaning that I got to call to a pay number and wait and wait to get it pick up, and wait to by passed to the right person. 1.- Well after 28 days of delivery, I got to return the Laptop 'cos the sound was crappy, I was very close to need to pay for the courrier as they got the wrong date of delivery, as on their file I was out of time of the 30 days free delivery guarranty. Anyway when it returned, still the same, but didn't botherd again. 2.- After 2 months, I connected to broadband, and surprise, the LAN does not work under any circunstances, even bought an external PCMI for it and not even with that it works. After not find the way to make it work, I called MESH (pay number, called and wait, and called and wait.....), a female technical support answer, and the most incredible thing happened here, she HAD NO IDEA was I was talking about, when I told her that the LAN line wasn't working on my Laptop, after a few minutes of quite tense conversation becouse she refused to passed me to another help support agent I joked about it becouse she still had no IDEA!!! she hang up the phone. Called again (lucky somebody else answer) and told me that I have to send the Laptop, and of course I got to pay for the courrier, even explaining that it already came faulty. 3.- After 1 year. The DVD writer does not work properly, as It does not read original CD Software at all. 4.- After 1 year 3 months. The Laptop switches off on it on as it gets very hitted up (hot) in just a couple of hours off use, and If I am recording a DVD or capturing from a CamCorder it last 15 minutes, Are these enough reasons to say that???, I TRULY REGRET TO HAD BOUGHT my Laptop on MESS Computers, becouse their computers and support are a MESS. Thanks for the opportunity to say it. Yo Mismo |

From: Faz Fard | posted: 01.04.2005 09:57 Mesh Computers warranty & support Just a big warning about the so called “3 year warranty” that comes with Mesh computers. In their literatures, they fail to make it clear to the customers that this warranty only applies to the Box. It does not cover the monitor, keyboard, etc and the software that they have installed wrongly. By time that you call them to find this out you will be clocking up £1 a minute. Their support line is damningly awful. There is no way that one would go thorough their normal telephone lines unless you pay £1 a minutes. Their staffs to my experience are very inexperienced in customer handling even at communication level. They are extremely frustrated and ignorant. I have not had problems with their hardware but god forbid if you have a problem or a simple query then you will be at the mercy of their awful customer support! I would certainly think twice. From: Graham Wright | posted: 05.04.2005 15:21 Purchased second Mesh PC IN Feb this year. PC was promised on three occasions and never turned up. When it finally arrived the packaging had been opened. Reported this to Mesh, didn't care. PC had faulty Windows installtion on delivery would not boot up also found no driver discs except recovery disc which was missing some files. Restored PC myself and had to wait a week for correct driver discs from Mesh. Also when I moved the PC one day I found three YES three motherboard jumpers rolling around in the case bottom which would explain why some things did not work. After studying the motherboard book I replaced the jumpers and everything appeared to work. Until I tried to copy CD's the combi drive appeared to faulty and after waiting 25mins to get through to Mesh Tech the PC is now on its way back MESH for repair(I am not holding my breath). I have got to agree with everyone that the customer service line is rubbish reference the staff I have had mixed respones some were very helpful others were rude and couldn't care less. Mesh need a serious kick up the backside as they take your money and run and I won't be buying a third PC from them. They have sent me £30 in vouchers big deal so be warned. If you read this MESH( I know you look at these forums) whats gone wrong ?? you used to be really good. |

From: Faz Fard | posted: 06.04.2005 14:13 You have been warned! Mesh is synonymous with PAIN & AGONY in all respects. In this day and age waiting 25 min to get through and to add salt to the wound, you end up with an ar*e hole who is ignorant and ill-mannered in the so called customer care (pain inflicting) department. If I were you Graham, I would ask for my money back before spending some more hours on the phone to no avail. From: Gary | posted: 21.04.2005 08:04 The laptop broke within 3 days. The hard drive had failed. £ attempts later it was finally picked up. 3 Weeks later it was finally returned. Even the courier laughed when he saw it was from Mesh and said, 'I'm sure we'll be seeing you again. Their customer services are full of empty promises and the equipment is sub standard. |
