Rising Star Games is set to bring the Japanese RPG, Baroque, to the Nintendo Wii and PS2 in Europe. Baroque is a dungeon-crawling action role-player with a distinctly dark theme.
You're a survivor of a cataclysmic event, tasked with descending a tower and discovering... well, it's not exactly clear what you'll be discovering, but it's a fair bet that it'll be horned and scaly with an extremely nasty temperament.
A dungeon delver wouldn't be complete without chests stuffed full of loot, and plenty of weapons and items are promised, with an in-depth customisation system (you'll be able to combine stat-boosting parasites, apparently, to make for potent bonuses).
The unique feature Baroque's touting is the fact that dying is an important part of the experience, as there's an underworld afterlife which is an integral part of the storyline.
The release date is set for June 27th, and the game will be £29.99 on the Wii, and £19.99 on the PS2.
