So impressed have we been by the Archos range of PMPs that you'd be forgiven for thinking we've bought shares in the company (we haven't). The industry leader has consistently driven the market in this sector for the last couple of years, and following a recent announcement it appears as though it's set to tighten its stranglehold even further.
You can now pick up a GPS In-car holder for the 605 WiFi player, which will use its 4.3-inch touch-screen display to help you navigate the supplied Tele Atlas maps, available for Europe and covering 22 countries.
You'll find full postcode support, POI markers, lane assistance, traffic warnings and an FM transmitter, so it's clear that some of the most useful enhancements we've seen on modern sat-navs haven't been lost in the development of this PMP hybrid.
The GPS In-car holder can be bought on its own for £99.99, is compatible with any Archos 605 WiFi model, and will be available in May.
